Cushman & Wakefield and JLL have been appointed leasing agents for an 800,000 sq ft commercial lab building, to be constructed by the Canary Wharf Group and Kadans Science Partner joint venture.
The 23-storey development, which forms part of a health and life sciences cluster at North Quay, E14, is set to complete in 2026.
The eight-acre North Quay site is on the doorstep of Canary Wharf’s new Elizabeth Line station, providing connectivity to central London and Heathrow. The area already serves as a home to Genomics England, Barts Health NHS Trust, the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, Medical Defence Union, General Pharmaceutical Council, and NHS Transformation.
Richard Archer, managing director at CWG, said: “We already have a significant amount of interest from potential occupiers in relation to our plans and will aim to start leasing space concurrent with construction.”
James Sheppard, managing director UK & Ireland at Kadans, added: “We are targeting an official marketing launch of the new development at North Quay early next year.”
