Proposals have been lodged to expand Oxford Science Park by adding an extra 500,000 sq ft of lab and office space.
The development of four new buildings is planned on plots 23-26 and plot 27, with construction due to start as early as 2023 if approved by the council. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2024.
The new R&D facilities are set to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification through sustainable design and reduction of carbon use during construction.
Rory Maw, chief executive of Oxford Science Park, said: “With many of our occupiers having grown in size more than fivefold and continuing to expand, plus potential occupiers coming in from Oxford, the rest of the UK and across the world, the buildings on plots 23-26 and 27 will help meet the demand for high quality laboratory and office space.”
