Related Argent and Barnet Council, the partnership delivering Brent Cross Town, has awarded £40,000 to 11 local charities and initiatives as part of its 2022 Brent Cross Town Community Fund.
This year’s beneficiary projects and initiatives include Keep Rolling Project, a skateboarding and art group offering classes for children (pictured); Yaran Club, a Farsi-speaking women’s group that supports poor mental health and domestic violence; and Noa Girls, a creative space that helps girls in the Orthodox Jewish community struggling with traumatic experiences and difficult home lives.
A total of £140,000 has been awarded to 42 local projects since the Brent Cross Town Community Fund was launched in 2019.
Nick Searl, Related Argent partner, and a member of the 2022 BCTCF judging panel, said: “The Brent Cross Community Fund has proved to be a popular and much-needed source of funding. We continue to be hugely impressed with the range of groups and local initiatives that are dedicated to bringing the community together and supporting mental and physical wellbeing.
“We were also especially pleased to see this year that the fund is helping to facilitate the collaborations of local groups to better support the area. This is all part of our commitment to help create connections and support a flourishing community.”
