Trammell Crow Company has hired a second London-based logistics development director in its push to acquire new sites, recruiting Jamie Hargreaves from Microsoft.
Hargreaves previously worked at Microsoft as land acquisition manager, where he focused on sourcing and transacting freehold land of up to 70 acres for data centre development across the EMEA markets. Before that, he was an associate director in CBRE’s industrial agency team, specialising acquisitions and disposals in London and the South East of England.
In his new role, Hargreaves will work alongside existing UK development director Matt Jones, reporting to head of UK logistics Mike Forster, to identify and acquire new sites for grade-A logistics properties.
Mike Forster, head of UK logistics at TCC, said: “Through his experience at Microsoft and in agency, Jamie has an excellent network that enables him to source opportunities before they have even hit the market.
“As our UK team grows and we continue to explore acquisition of strategic sites in key areas across the country, his experience naturally complements that of the wider team. Recruiting our second development director in the UK is the clearest possible demonstration that Trammell Crow Company maintains a strong appetite to acquire new sites on which we will develop grade-A logistics assets and that we have the resources to realise these targets.”
TCC has acquired three sites in the UK since launching in the country in 2021, in Sheffield, Milton Keynes and Heywood near Manchester, with construction having begun on the first two and a speculative pipeline of around 1.2m sq ft. The firm also has two sites in Germany, three in Spain and one in the Czech Republic.
Hargreaves said: “Having only launched in the UK last year, it is a testament to the energy and talent of the team that Trammell Crow Company has already acquired three sites in the UK.”
