Arcadis buys DPS in life sciences and semiconductors move

Arcadis will acquire DPS Group for €232m (£202m) in a move to expand its consultancy, engineering and construction management services in the life sciences and semiconductor manufacturing market.

Upon completion of the deal, DPS will become part of the Arcadis Places GBA, providing services across manufacturing facilities, R&D, logistics, data centres and public buildings, including universities, transport hubs, hospitals and defence facilities.

The acquisition will also strengthen Arcadis’ position in North America and Europe, where DPS has long-standing client relationships with the pharmaceutical and semiconductor companies.

Peter Oosterveer, chief executive of Arcadis, said: “Our ambition is to be a global leader in the high-growth and resilient life sciences and semiconductor manufacturing markets.

“The combined strengths of both our organisations will allow us to improve the quality of life for the communities we all serve, while amplifying our ability to deliver a full service and seamless offering to new and existing clients across the world.”
