Knight Frank has appointed Andrew Child as head of central London property management.
Child joins from JLL, where he spent 13 years, most recently as head of the firm’s central London asset management division, overseeing a team of 30 surveyors.
He is a specialist in large commercial office properties and has worked on assets including 22 Bishopsgate, EC2, and 60 London Wall, EC2.
At Knight Frank, Child will work with Michael Lewis, head of property and asset management, to expand the existing central London property management team.
The role will also focus on providing expert advice on increasing the value of standing assets and attracting and retaining occupiers, plus extending properties’ lifespans and modernising them in light of post-Covid living and working patterns.
The news comes as Knight Frank has taken on its largest-ever number of graduates and has kicked off its 2022 programme with 82 graduates in the cohort.
Lewis said: “[Child’s] insights will allow investors to unlock the value of their portfolios, extend the life of standing stock and create smart, agile spaces which are optimised for occupiers in the post-Covid world of work.”
Child added that was excited “to identify innovative new solutions to enliven, retrofit and enhance their assets and portfolios”.
