Hammerson non-executive director Des de Beer is stepping down from the board with immediate effect.
Chair Robert Noel said: “I would like to thank Des for his support and contribution during his term as a director. On behalf of the board, I wish him well for the future.”
The appointment of Alan Olivier as alternate director to Des de Beer has also ceased with immediate effect.
De Beer had joined Hammerson as a non-executive in 2020, as a representative of South Africa-based activist investor Lighthouse Capital.
He is also managing director and chief executive of Johannesburg-listed Resilient REIT, where he has worked since its listing in 2002. The REIT has a 3.1% holding in Hammerson.
