Kier has been appointed to deliver a £28m health and wellbeing centre in Ringland, Newport, for the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
The building will become home to two existing GP practices on site, as well as bringing a range of community services to patients, including general medical services, community dentistry, and social care.
The project is expected to complete in early 2025.
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board chief executive Nicola Prygodzicz said: “We are delighted that the Welsh Government has approved this new health and wellbeing centre, which is a perfect example of our ambitions for the transformation of health care delivery across the health board area.”
Jason Taylor, regional director at Kier Construction Western & Wales, said the hub “will allow for an effective integration with wider community services and create a focus for health and wellbeing within the community”.
