Imperial College London has appointed Mace Interiors to transform the clinical research building on its Hammersmith campus, W12.
The proposed works will provide 30,000 sq ft of workspace and labs dedicated to advanced research in the field of respiratory science. The upgraded space will be a new home to researchers at the National Heart & Lung Institute, who are currently housed in several separate buildings.
The refurbishment is also part of Imperial College’s review of its buildings’ sustainability performance in a drive to become a net zero institution by 2040.
Paul Sharp, director for research at Mace’s life sciences & health unit, said: “It is inspiring to work on such an ambitious project delivering world-class research facilities that will transform the lives of millions.”
