This week’s appointments and promotions
Avant Homes has hired Katy Falls (pictured, left) as planning manager in its central region team. She began her career in local authority planning before moving into housebuilding in 2015.
Daniel Osborne (pictured, right) has joined Boyer as director of its London office. He has worked in planning consultancy for nearly 20 years, most recently at Barton Willmore, now Stantec, acting for developers, funds, managers and registered suppliers.
Gateley Legal in Leeds has appointed Hayley Hayes as a legal director and Emma Kenny as a solicitor in the construction team. Miranda Stirling joins as legal director and Amelia Purdy as an associate in the real estate team.
Kerry Glanville, head of residential estates at Cripps, is to retire in April. She was senior partner at Pemberton Greenish when the firm merged with Cripps in 2018.
Joseph Daniels has been appointed as a special adviser at Sintali. The founder of net zero carbon housebuilder Etopia is named in Forbes’ 30 under 30 for his work in delivering net zero homes in the UK, US, Middle East and Namibia.
Bidwells has appointed Andy Fewings as group partner to lead the expansion of its energy and renewable energy division. He was formerly head of Statkraft, where he was responsible for the company’s 1GW+ development pipeline.
Oliver Green has joined Knight Frank’s central London retail team as a partner. He joins from Savills where he was a director and advised on retail and lifestyle destinations including Burlington Arcade and Film House, W1.
Barings has appointed Paul Smith as a director and Philip Smith as a senior associate in its UK asset management team. They join from Aviva Investors and JLL respectively and will work on projects including Soapworks in Bristol and Omega West in Warrington.
Watson Briggs has joined Chestertons as director for west London residential development.
Picton has appointed Andy Lynch as head of building surveying to oversee the refurbishment and repositioning of projects with an emphasis on sustainability.
Capital&Centric has recruited Scott Mallinson to lead its design-led community projects in Greater Manchester. John Moffat and Tom Wilmot have joined as managing directors and Jonathon Nolan as development manager.
Michael Metliss has joined Fladgate as partner in its property litigation practice.
Stephen Dick has joined legal firm Gilson Gray as partner in its commercial real estate team from DLA Piper.
Savills Capital Advisors has hired Irina Stoichkova as a director in its capital advisory business. She was previously lead on M&A and capital raising deals at Rothschild & Co.
Knight Frank Birmingham has recruited graduate surveyors Bobbi Sandhu in the capital markets team, Sam Benson in office agency, Richard Orji in projects and building consultancy, and Quiana Higgins in residential development.
The Cardiff office of Avison Young has hired Ted Harding-Brown as an associate director in the capital markets and development team and Kate Tomos as associate director in the environmental planning team. Charles Kaminaris returns to the firm as director of specialist social and affordable housing.
Graham + Sibbald has appointed Alan McGregor as an associate, Mary Leitch as a senior surveyor, and Syd Davison as a consultant in its west of Scotland commercial valuation team.
RE Capital, the pan-European investment, development and asset management company, has appointed Devon Olander as group fund manager. He joins from Skybound Capital Group.
Paul Middleton has joined McLaren Property as project director in its Leeds office. He joins from Aecom, where he was regional lead for the north of England project management team.
IPSX has appointed Jonathan Baines as senior adviser to the capital markets team and Darius Divwalla as director in the origination team.
Eddisons in Manchester has added to its transport planning team with the appointment of Harry Lo as a graduate engineer, Genna Woods as a trainee technician, and Lucy Gretton as a graduate transport planner.
