Budget hotel chain Travelodge is on the hunt a further 127 sites across London.
The chain this week opened its 79th property in the capital, a 177-bedroom hotel in Wimbledon, SW19.
The plan to more than double its portfolio in London would represent an investment of almost £3bn, said Travelodge, creating more than 3,000 jobs.
To kick-start the expansion programme, Travelodge has secured four deals for new properties in Beckenham, Bermondsey, Chiswick and Peckham. The four hotels represent an investment of around £55m.
Travelodge has 596 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain.
