Impact Healthcare has bought a portfolio of six care homes for £56m from Morris Care.
The portfolio, comprising five homes in Shropshire and one in Cheshire, has 438 high-quality bedrooms, of which 400 have en suite bathrooms.
The healthcare REIT will pay four-fifths of the sum in cash, with the balance paid in shares in Impact.
The homes will continue to trade under the Morris Care brand for three years and the operational management team of Morris Care will transfer to Impact’s existing tenant, Welford Healthcare, which will operate the homes.
