Kennedy Wilson goes green with Dublin scheme loans

US real estate investor Kennedy Wilson has secured €110m (£88.6m) in green loans from Ireland’s AIB to fund three Dublin office buildings.

The loans will back 140,000 sq ft of office space across the company’s Ten Hanover Quay (pictured), 20 Kildare Street and 94 St Stephen’s Green projects, with the pricing linked to climate change mitigation initiatives at each.

The three schemes involve repurposing buildings, reusing materials and preserving historically significant assets. 94 St Stephen’s Green has achieved of LEED Platinum certification, while Ten Hanover Quay and 20 Kildare Street are targeting LEED Gold and Platinum, WELL Gold and WiredScore Platinum.

The latest loans follow a €77m loan from AIB for Kennedy Wilson’s Cornerstone mixed-use development in Stillorgan, signed last year.
