Proposals have been lodged to bring forward WestonM6, a new 1.3m sq ft logistics and business park, located a short distance from the M6 in Crewe, Cheshire.
Muse Developments, in partnership with landowners the Witter Trust and the Co-Operative, has submitted a hybrid planning application to Cheshire East Council.
The first phase of development will spread across 64 acres and include three warehouses, measuring 750,000 sq ft. The firm is also seeking approval to bring forward some amenity, including landscaping with nature areas, a 3km active walking trail and a pocket park.
The scheme is set to create up to 2,900 new jobs, including 165 jobs during the construction phase, and generate an additional £3.4m in business rates.
Alan McBride, project director at Muse, said: “At WestonM6, we have worked hard to design a sustainable place that complements the existing neighbourhood being created and unlocks vast areas of greenery, to promote a healthy lifestyle, but importantly attracts significant inward investment and meets the demand for new jobs in the town.”
