The planning inspectorate has approved developer Biddulph (Buckinghamshire)’s plans for a 540-home mixed-use scheme in Buckinghamshire on appeal.
The 73-acre scheme would comprise the development of 380 new homes, 100 beds of retirement living space, a new school and associated social infrastructure, and a 60-bed care home. The plans were initially rejected last year.
The scheme also includes a local centre of up to 1,000 sq m with up to 250 sq m of retail space.
Biddulph’s scheme was initially rejected as it “constitutes inappropriate development in the Green Belt having regard to the National Planning Policy Framework”, according to the planning inspectorate’s report.
CBRE advised Biddulph on this scheme.
