Art-Invest reveals next steps of Canada Water scheme

Art-Invest Real Estate has unveiled a fresh look at its 1.5m sq ft office-led development in London’s Canada Water, SE16.

The developer’s detailed reserved matters applications for Canada Water Dockside show the next steps for the 4.5-acre site, which sits alongside Canada Water Station, the dock’s waterfront and British Land’s 53-acre scheme.

The Bjarke Ingels Group and HWKN Architecture-designed scheme includes three headquarters buildings as well as restaurants and new public realm.

The new plans include details and imagery of two of those three office buildings, which the architects have said they want to represent a “step-change” in workplace design. Southwark Borough Council resolved to grant outline planning consent in March 2022.

Luka Vukotic, partner at Art-Invest, said: “Since securing the resolution to grant outline planning last year we have made a considerable amount of progress in developing the designs of Canada Water Dockside to reach this milestone. The local community has again been fundamental in helping to shape our final proposals.”
