Biotech firm LGC Group has placed 50,000 sq ft of space under offer at British Land’s Priestley Centre, at Guildford’s Surrey Research Park.
The life sciences company, previously known as the Laboratory of the Government Chemist before it was privatised in 1996, will be taking the space at a rent of nearly £40 per sq ft.
The Priestley Centre was acquired by British Land from BOC in September 2021.
The 90,632 sq ft office building is undergoing refurbishment by RSR Construction, to transform it into an innovation campus. The work is scheduled to complete in the spring.
The development sits on a 7.8-acre site at the entrance to the park, neighbouring the University of Surrey’s Manor Park Campus and the School of Health Sciences.
