British Land’s Sally Jones joins proptech VC

British Land’s former head of strategy, digital and technology has joined proptech venture capitalist PT1 as its first British venture partner.

Sally Jones has joined the Berlin-based PropTech1 Ventures as it increases its investment in the the UK.

The VC made its first investment in the UK two years ago and has since invested in four British companies: flexible workspace platform Desana, climate risk tech FloodFlash, digital credit platform Ontik, and Climate X, the platform for global climate risk data analytics.

PT1 said the UK was of “growing significance” in its activities, adding that more investment was “in the pipe”.

It now has four full-time employees in its London office at 22 Bishopsgate, EC2, led by UK managing director Kingma Ma.

Jones is also a non-executive director at tenant experience platform Equiem and was a member of WiredScore’s advisory board.
