Wembley hotel extension and resi redevelopment approved

Brent Council has approved developer Hycgan’s plans for a mixed-use hotel and residential scheme in Wembley Park, west London.

The approved plans include the demolition of an unused government office building at 3 Olympic Way to provide 178 homes.

The scheme will consist of two towers of 10 and 26 storeys.

The Novotel hotel (pictured) at 5 Olympic Way, will be extended, providing 95 additional bedrooms to the existing 260-bedroom hotel, with other enhancements including a swimming pool, leisure facilities and a new roof terrace.

The approved plans also include 16,000 sq ft of shops and 315 cycle parking spaces.

The site is located within the GLA-established Wembley Opportunity Area.
