Yorkshire Water Leeds office hits the market

Yorkshire Water has put its office building Livingstone House in Leeds up for sale.

The firm is looking to secure offers over £13.5m for the 72,000 sq ft asset, which was recently refurbished to provide a double height glazed entrance, 33 parking spaces, EV charging facilities and cycle storage.

The move comes as the utility company returns to its Bradford head office whilst also allowing more flexibility to its workforce to work remotely or from other buildings around the region.

A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “In recent years we’ve seen a rise in flexible and hybrid working and as a result occupancy levels across many of our sites, including Livingstone House in Leeds, have been much lower.

“We assessed our buildings and, in a bid to use them more efficiently and in the face of recent rising costs, we took the difficult decision to close Livingstone House.”

Savills are advising Yorkshire Water on the transaction.
