Seda to transform Cheadle Royal warehouse into life sciences hub

Pharmaceutical development services provider Seda has expanded to the Lakehouse at the Cheadle Royal Business Park in Stockport.

Seda has signed a deal with Seneca Property for the 38,000 sq ft building on a 20-year lease.

The move comes as the firm looks to expand its operations, with the plan being to retrofit the existing industrial property and turn it into a life sciences facility.

Paul Stott, chief executive of Seda, said: “This property is immediately adjacent to our current facility on Cheadle Royal, and the timing worked perfectly as we accelerate the next phase of our expansion strategy.”

Developed by Muse, Cheadle Royal spans across 65 acres, with leisure, retail and other amenities including gyms, tennis courts, yoga spaces, spa, woodland walks and on-site childcare. It is already a home to companies including loans and mortgages provider Together, engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce and law firm Eversheds.
