Capital & Centric has submitted plans for 160 homes in Bolton using its new suburban home concept.
The application is for one to four-bedroom sustainable homes split across four brownfield plots on Bradshawgate and Breightmet Street.
They feature striking bold designs and high-energy performance and will be set alongside safe streets, community amenity spaces, shared green areas and workspaces for creative small and start-up businesses.
Capital & Centric said the concept is aimed at cultivating a “true community feel”, with plans to roll out across the UK to tackle housing shortages.
Richard Spackman, development director at Capital & Centric, said: “There’s places up and down the country that have these challenging brownfield sites in prime, town centre locations, crying out for a creative approach to regeneration.
