France claims it is winning in the race to lure bankers from London, partly thanks to the popularity of Emily in Paris.
According to Choose Paris Region, which promotes investment in the French capital, 5,500 financial services jobs have moved from London to Paris and 2,800 more are expected soon. In second place is Frankfurt, which has attracted about 1,800, with Amsterdam, Dublin and Luxembourg also competing.
It claims that the Netflix show, which is set in a highly fictionalised version of the French capital, has shown people that a Parisian lifestyle has perks other cities cannot match.
