John Lewis BTR scheme fails affordable housing test

John Lewis is facing another hurdle in its plans to diversify into build-to-rent housing, after it emerged that its proposed high-rise development will not have enough affordable homes.

The partnership needs to lower the amount, “otherwise we can’t deliver it”, a spokesman said.
