The Crown Estate has appointed JLL to explore options for Cambridge Business Park.
The park has 325,000 sq ft of flexible office space and is home to tech, research and development, and professional services companies. Tenants include the BBC, Oracle, EY, 1Spatial, Redgate and Qualcomm.
Options include selling parts of the site or finding a partner for potential redevelopment. The latter could involve bringing new life sciences uses to the site by converting existing buildings.
It is understood that the Crown is not planning to sell the site in its entirety.
The park comprises 12 office buildings and lettable spaces range from 2,000 sq ft suites to buildings of more than 50,000 sq ft.
Most of the buildings at the park are fully let, with only the 22,661 sq ft Matrix House currently vacant.
The park forms a part of Cambridge’s northern cluster and is adjacent to Cambridge Science Park and Cambridge North railway station. It is located on junction 33 of the A14 which links in with the M11, A11 and A10, providing access to Stansted Airport and London.
A spokesperson for the Crown Estate told EG: “We are currently looking at a range of options that will allow Cambridge Business Park to play a greater role to support broader ambitions for innovation in north-east Cambridge.”
