Lambert Smith Hampton has recruited Ivan Tennant as a director in its economics and planning policy team.
Tennant joins LSH from GL Hearn, where he headed up the economic planning team.
A planner and housing specialist with more than 20 years’ experience, Tennant has worked with clients such as Epsom and Ewell Borough Council, Blackpool Council, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Countryside Properties and Homes England.
Tennant has been hired to further advance LSH’s growing planning, regeneration and infrastructure business, led by national head of PR+I Steven Norris and director Richard O’Connell.
Alex Roberts, head of PR+I’s economics and planning policy team, said: “The economics and planning policy team has grown rapidly since 2021, and Ivan’s appointment will complement the expert and specialist advice we offer our public and private sector clients across the entire property, regeneration and development life cycle.”
Norris said: “Unlocking housing growth and building diverse and sustainable communities is a critical challenge for everyone. Our economics and planning policy team is providing robust evidence-based strategies to help our clients plan, repurpose and develop sites and real estate assets for new employment, education, healthcare and residential uses within a rapidly evolving business and economic environment.”
Tennant is the latest senior appointment at LSH. Other recent hires include Nyear Yaseen, who rejoined LSH as head of southern compulsory purchase services from Cushman & Wakefield, and Oliver Leeming, who joined as head of operations in valuation from CBRE.
