Henry Boot has sold its head office, Sheffield’s Banner Cross Hall, to Davison Property Investment ahead of a return to the city centre.
EG revealed earlier this year that the company had put its home of 90 years up for sale and agreed a November move to the Isaacs Building on Charles Street, part of Sheffield’s Heart of the City development and recently refurbished. That site is near to Henry Boot’s home prior to Banner Cross Hall.
Davison Property Investment plans to restore the Grade II listed Banner Cross Hall, maintaining its role as workspace as well as a restaurant and café for the public.
Henry Boot chief executive Tim Roberts said: “Banner Cross Hall has been home to Henry Boot for over 90 years and has facilitated the successful growth of the company throughout this time. We are pleased that the building will retain its core function as an office space, while the new owners also have plans to open up the building to the public, who will be able to benefit from the fantastic grounds that the Henry Boot team have been fortunate to enjoy for many years.”
Knight Frank advised on the sale.
