Two more people have been arrested in relation to the fire which destroyed the Crooked House pub last month.
A total of five people have been arrested during the police investigation into the fire that seriously damaged the 18th-century pub, known as Britain’s wonkiest, in Himley, near Dudley, on 5 August. The pub was then torn down by its owners, against planning guidance.
Staffordshire Police confirmed that they arrested a 34-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man, both from Leicestershire, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent or being reckless as to whether life was endangered. Both have been released on conditional bail.
