Moda consults on Ladywood tower

Moda has launched a consultation for its 37-storey build-to-rent tower in Birmingham’s Ladywood district.

The plans form the next stage of the New Garden Square neighbourhood, which will deliver up to 1,600 homes set around a new linear park.

A public consultation event will take place in on 24-25 October.

It follows Moda’s development of 398 BTR homes as part of phase one of New Garden Square.

In June, Moda said it would deliver the rest of the 11-acre site in partnership with Calthorpe Estates.

The latest proposals will deliver around 450 homes, alongside a variety of amenities, as well a space for shops, restaurants, or cafés.

Moda already has one operational neighbourhood in Birmingham, the 481-home Mercian on Broad Street.

As well as phase one at New Garden Square, the 722-home community at Great Charles Square in the Jewellery Quarter is also under construction.

Moda development executive Saif Uddin said: “Our latest proposals demonstrate the scale of our ambition and the confidence we have in this location and in Birmingham.”
