A care home has been named Britain’s best new building.
The John Morden Centre in Blackheath, south-east London, has won the 2023 Stirling Prize, awarded by the Royal Institute of British Architects.
Ellen van Loon, the RIBA jury’s chairwoman, described the John Morden Centre as a “place of joy and inspiration”.
