Harry Hyman is to become chair of Primary Health Properties, after standing down as chief executive.
Hyman, who founded PHP 30 years ago and floated it in 1998, announced his intention to stand aside as chief executive in December last year.
He has built the firm into a FTSE 250 company with a £2.8bn portfolio and an annual rent roll of almost £250m.
Hyman will succeed Steven Owen as chair in April following the firm’s AGM.
As announced in September, Mark Davies, former CFO and co-founder director of NewRiver REIT, will succeed Hyman as chief executive.
