Amazon is blocking promotions for staff who refuse to spend at least three days a week in the office.
It said it expected any employee being considered for a promotion to be in compliance with company policies.
Those who do not comply with the mandate will need approval from a vice-president otherwise their progression up the career ladder will be blocked.
