Kadans, McLaren Property, Property Alliance Group and Moda Living are set to get the go ahead for some 700,000 sq ft of life sciences space and almost 1,800 student beds in Manchester.
Two separate applications – one from McLaren and Kadans for a £65m circa 215,000 sq ft life sciences block and 727 student beds, and one from PAG and Moda for 550,000 sq ft of life sciences space and 983 student beds – are both recommended for approval at a planning meeting later today.
The Kadans building consists of a ground floor with forum seating, a public café and start-up incubator space, plus seven upper floors, designed to suit a range of tenant sizes and sectors.
The development will be located adjacent to the Oxford Road Corridor and opposite Manchester University facilities including the Henry Royce Institute, Alan Turing Institute and National Graphene Institute.
