The Story of Christmas Appeal’s 46th annual charity choir service returned this week.
Members of the real estate industry and a collection of celebrities including Dame Mary Berry, Emily Bohill, Benedict Cumberbatch, Lord Fellowes, Kit Harington, Ian Hislop, Celia Imrie, Aled Jones, Emilia Jones, Chris Martin, Sir Trevor McDonald, Zoë Wanamaker, Laura Whitmore and Leah Williamson all read the lessons.
The event raised more than £870,000. Cash was raised through donations and an auction held at the Mandarin Oriental following the choir service at St George’s, just off Hanover Square, W1.
Charities to benefit from the event include Beyond Autism, Centrepoint, Firebird for Schools, the Passage, Single Homeless Project and Starlight.
