Earl accused of land grab at Norfolk estate

The Earl of Leicester has been accused of a landgrab at his £200m Norfolk estate.

Locals said the earl’s 25,000-acre Holkham Hall estate, which includes England’s largest privately owned nature reserve, has “unfairly” claimed land that should be commonly owned.

The disagreement involves an area close to Burnham Overy Staithe, a village where sailors are charged for moorings and launchings.
