Gerald Ronson has been knighted for services to philanthropy and the Jewish community in the New Year Honours List 2024.
The real estate veteran is the managing director of Heron International.
Patricia Brown, director at Central, was also among the real estate professionals mentioned in the honours list, for services to the built environment.
She led the development of the first business improvement districts, commissioned the study that led to the Legible London wayfinding scheme, and lobbied for the pedestrianisation of Trafalgar Square.
Brown has previously held roles in the British Property Federation, including as vice chair of the development committee, and was a co-founder and director of London Modern, a not-for-profit cultural festival.
Another property professional recognised in the list was Amanda Blanc, group chief executive at Aviva. Blanc was honoured for services to business, gender equality and net zero.
Nicholas Boys Smith, founder and director of Create Streets and chair at the Office for Place, was honoured for services to planning and design.
And former British Land chief executive Stephen Hester, now chair at Easyjet and Nordea, has been knighted for services to business and the economy.
