Richard Caring has put the Ivy restaurant group on the market with a £1bn price tag.
HSBC began sharing marketing documents last week with interested parties for the Covent Garden restaurant as well as the Ivy Collection and Ivy Asia sites.
Caring owns the Ivy group in a 50/50 joint venture with former Qatari prime minister Sheikh Hamad Bin-Jassim Bin-Jaber Al Thani.
Caring’s upmarket London restaurants Scott’s, Sexy Fish and J Sheekey, plus the Mayfair nightclub Annabel’s, are not included in the sale.
