Former JLL South East Asia chief executive Chris Fossick is joining developer Native Land as a non-executive director.
Fossick oversaw the growth of JLL’s South East Asia business over 17 years, helping clients acquire and sell more than $30bn (£23.8bn) of commercial real estate in Singapore, Japan, South East Asia and Europe. He has also advised investors and occupiers on more than 80m sq ft of commercial leasing transactions in the office, retail, industrial and logistics sectors.
Native Land chief executive Alasdair Nicholls said: “As one of the Asia market’s leading advisers, Chris will bring a significant global real estate perspective to Native Land’s board. His experience and expertise will provide a valuable bridge between the Asia and UK markets, at a time when our business with major Asian partners and brands continues to grow.”
Fossick added: “There has been, and continues to be, strong interest from Asia-based investors in the London and UK commercial, residential and hospitality real estate sectors, and Native Land is in a great position to offer investors the opportunity to partner with a highly trusted and leading developer of outstanding spaces in one of the most attractive and dynamic real estate markets in the world.”
Native Land’s portfolio includes the £2.5bn Bankside Yards mixed-use estate between the Tate Modern art gallery and the Southbank Centre, and the recently approved redevelopment around South Kensington station.
Fossick is also an independent non-executive director of Singapore-listed Pacific Century Regional Developments.
