Blackstone has shelved plans to sell Cargo, a 15-storey office tower at 25 North Colonnade in Canary Wharf, E14.
The property was to be bought by an Asian investor for around £250m.
Discussions on the sale are understood to have collapsed as sentiment around offices remains under pressure.
Blackstone, which bought the 300,000 sq ft Cargo for £163m in 2014, said it was not a forced seller.
