Conygar Investment Company has submitted a detailed planning application for the next phase of development at the Island Quarter in Nottingham.
The proposal comprises a 383-bed student block, which forms the third phase of the wider masterplan, spanning 36 acres, which has a GDV of £1bn.
Robert Ware, chief executive of Conygar, said: “Nottingham is home to two universities, and this scheme will be an addition to the mixed-use development we are creating at the Island Quarter.”
The first phase saw the construction of restaurant and event space 1 The Island Quarter, which was completed in September 2022.
Building works have begun on a 693-bed student development to be operated by Fresh Property Group, with completion scheduled for June this year.
Planning consent has also been granted for 247 build-to-rent flats, a 223-bedroom hotel, 400 co-working desks and 245,000 sq ft of laboratory, office and meeting space.
