Excellence on the horizon, as Kirkland seals deal with Verizon

Telecommunications giant Verizon has selected the 1BQ office building in Limerick for a new “Centre of Excellence”. The group has agreed a 15-year lease for the 84,334 sq ft, eight-storey building in the heart of the Irish city. The scheme, which has been developed by Kirkland Investments, has been designed to achieve LEED Gold, WiredScore Platinum and BER of A3 certifications. Kirkland said it was a “great endorsement for the city of Limerick that Verizon chose to locate its newest Centre of Excellence here” and that the deal would prove a “huge economic lift to the city and wider region”.
