Co-living firm Re:shape appoints construction director

Alternative living developer and operator Re:shape has appointed Robbie Nightingale as its construction director.

Nightingale held the same role at The Collective for nearly four years until 2020. He has rejoined his former Collective colleagues Jermaine Browne and Charlie Gayner, who founded Re:shape four years ago.

Most recently, Nightingale was development director at Manner. Before that, he worked at Ghelamco UK for a year as project director.

At Re:shape, Nightingale will lead a new construction division. The move comes as the business pivots its focus from repositioning hotel properties to seizing ground-up development opportunities in the South East.

Re:shape recently exchanged contracts on three co-living and PBSA development sites in London and Watford, creating a 1,850-bed, £885m GDV pipeline.

Nightingale said he intends “to drive forward the company’s ambitious development initiatives and pipeline”.

Earlier last year, the business also hired Phil Luckett as its operations director, from Student Roost. He was joined by project manager Chris Roche on a contracting basis and investment analyst Bell Wang.
