Associated British Ports hires from Muse for development role

Associated British Ports has hired former Muse development manager Andrew Milne to drive through its strategy of increasing commercial property activity on its land.

As ABP’s lead property development manager, Milne (pictured, right) will work from the company’s Hull and Immingham offices, tasked with development across sites including Stallingborough Interchange, which ABP recently bought, as well as the Humber International Enterprise Park. He will also work with the asset management team to source new investments and strategic land deals.

He previously worked for Muse as senior development manager in the Yorkshire and North East office, having spent six years at developer HBD before that.

ABP’s head of property for Humber, Greg Lacey (pictured, left), said: “We hold significant strategic land parcels on both sides of the Humber and now have the foundations in place across our estates, asset and development management teams to secure and deliver major opportunities for the Humber region.”

ABP is the largest port operator in the UK, with 21 ports handling an annual £150bn of trade. It owns 10,000 acres of land with a further 2,500 acres landbanked for commercial use.
