Developer Merchant Land has been granted planning permission for a residential scheme at Windmill Lane in Hounslow, west London.
The initial proposals were first lodged in 2018, and since then Merchant Land has worked closely with the community and London Borough of Hounslow to create a scheme that is sympathetic to its neighbours.
Windmill Lane will feature 74 flats across two six and seven-storey buildings, 15 of which will be affordable.
The scheme has been designed to create a “healthy street” and will encourage residents to cycle, walk, or car-share.
Katherine McCullough, managing director of Merchant Land, said: “Placemaking has also been a key consideration when designing this scheme – providing a range of shared amenities and new greenspace, it has all the ingredients to create a thriving new community.”
