Freshwater Group is gearing up to submit revised plans for an office-led tower in the City of London.
The company was granted planning permission by the City of London Corporation in 2020 to redevelop Tenter House at 45 Moorfields, EC2, as a 19-storey office building, but is now preparing to put forward updated plans.
An environmental impact assessment screening opinion request submitted to the corporation detailed Freshwater’s intentions to submit an application to extend and redevelop the existing 11-storey Tenter House building. This would create a 354,455 sq ft, part 14-storey and part 22-storey office building.
The site, which would have two retail units on the ground floor as well as an outdoor plaza, is near Moorfields, New Union Street and CityPoint. The proposed development will be all-electric and would offer staggered terraces on the upper floors.
The existing 1960s office, which previously had tenants including etc.venues, is now unoccupied. Demolition is targeted for early 2024.
