Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Jessica Francisco as its first chief sustainability officer.
Francisco, who joined Cushman in 2022 as global head of sustainability for its occupier business, will report to chief investment and strategy officer Nathanial Robinson.
As chief sustainability officer, Francisco will be tasked with developing and implementing comprehensive firm-wide sustainability strategies and goals, embedding best practices across all business units, integrating sustainability into the company’s core services, and establishing metrics to measure progress and ensure impactful results in collaboration with business partners across the firm.
“This new CSO role reflects the firm’s commitment to advancing sustainability not only for our own operations but also through the strategic advice and services we provide our clients,” said Robinson. “We believe sustainability is a business imperative for the commercial real estate industry. The appointment is a significant step in our ongoing journey toward a more sustainable and resilient future for all.”
Francisco, who has more than 20 years of experience in sustainability, has a “responsibility to help create a more sustainable future for our firm and our clients”, said Cushman.
