Ballymore has filed an environmental impact report for a 14-acre site in Royal Docks, E16, to Newham Council.
The proposed plans will feature 1,700 homes, up from the initial 1,610 proposed for the site.
Ballymore’s latest proposal, which covers 11 residential blocks, also includes up to 400 co-living homes, 181,000 sq ft of industrial space, 100 car parking spaces, two primary schools and 13,000 sq ft of commercial and retail space.
Ballymore’s previous plans filed in October 2021 are still in the planning stages.
A letter from the Greater London Authority filed to Newham Council regarding the previous application states that it “does not comply with the London Plan”.
The GLA said Ballymore’s previous application fell short in its affordable housing requirements, with 17.4% affordable housing being provided.
The letter also stated that Ballymore needed to provide further detail on the site’s connection to surrounding areas.
The plans needed a significant reduction in car parking, clarification on cycle parking and an update on the trip generation calculations.
