Royal London Asset Management has named Will Hawking as head of life sciences, a newly created role at the firm.
Hawking has been with the investment company for more than six years, most recently as senior asset manager, looking after strategic asset management across the Golden Triangle and the UK’s Big Six markets.
Hawking said: “As Royal London Asset Management Property continues to expand the portfolio, we are looking to deploy more capital into life sciences, focusing on the thriving Golden Triangle of Cambridge, London, and Oxford. I’m excited to lead this initiative and contribute to the growth and development of these key markets.”
The move comes shortly after RLAM bought a 50% stake in British Land’s 1 Triton Square, NW1, for £192.5m with the view to reposition the building as a life sciences hub.
