Real estate investor Yoo Capital has announced the appointment of partners for the Camden Film Quarter project.
It has selected architect SPPARC to produce a masterplan; Momentum to act as integrated transport consultant; Turley to work on community consultation; Montagu Evans to deliver planning and development advice; and Oxygen Studios to provide specialist film studio advice.
Yoo announced last April that it planned to develop a new creative neighbourhood, delivering a hub for film, creative industries and education, alongside hundreds of new homes.
It has been working with Camden Council, and consulting with local residents, businesses and community groups on the proposals for the site on Regis Road, to the west of Kentish Town.
London-based SPPARC previously worked with YOO on the co-design of its £1.3bn transformation of Olympia and Southwark’s Borough Yards.
It has now been tasked with creating an initial design that integrates the new creative district into the fabric of Kentish Town.
