Cushman hires sustainability lead from Knight Frank

Cushman & Wakefield has named Gillian Bowman as a partner and head of sustainability in its UK valuation and advisory team.

Bowman joins from Knight Frank where she spent the last eight years, valuing assets in all property sectors and geographies for institutional clients. As part of Knight Frank’s ESG taskforce she led the integration of ESG into all client services, including valuation.

Prior to this, Bowman was a fund manager at Kames Capital where she was involved in the inception, set-up, and running of funds.

At Cushman, Bowman be responsible for elevating the consultancy’s capabilities in the provision of multi-asset portfolios for investor clients, advising institutional funds, pension funds and corporate occupiers. She will also be tasked to help drive forward Cushman & Wakefield’s ESG offering across the service line.

Bowman’s arrival follows a number of appointments to the team, including the promotion of Jonathan Stickells to UK specialist markets valuation and advisory lead, and Chad Davies to UK head of regions valuation and advisory.

Tom Nuttall, head of UK valuation and advisory at Cushman, said: “[Bowman] is a skilled valuer with an outstanding reputation in the market, her keen interest in ESG is apposite at a time when investor strategies are increasingly focusing on sustainability, social responsibility, and as valuation approaches develop to reflect this more explicitly as a result.”
